Management Team - In an effort to better serve our clients and temporary employees, TMD Temporaries offers an in-house Risk Management Team to handle risk and claims management. Our Risk management Team is responsible for leading all field operations safety and risk management training, as well as investigating large Workers Compensation claims and developing safety programs for our clients and employees. In addition, our team is responsible for all insurance claims, injuries, OSHA filings and assist with safety programs to better serve our customers and to ensure the safety of our employees.
Gallagher Basset Risk Control Consulting Services - TMD has enlisted the assistance of Gallagher Basset Risk Control Consulting Services to advise us in such areas as training and safety management. Since 1962, Gallagher Basset Risk Control Consulting Services has been helping clients reduce their exposures to risk and the steep costs that accompany them. Their risk management expertise stretches well beyond their established leadership position in Claims Management services.
Third Party
Claims Administrator (Gallagher Basset) – TMD has procured a third party administrator (TPA) to control costs, as well as to adjust and finalize Workers Compensation claims. Gallagher Basset offers a comprehensive menu of risk management services, including claims management, information management, medical cost containment and appraisal services.
National Safety Council - The council is helping businesses achieve safety excellence through research, leadership and practical tools. NSC saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy. NSC focuses on areas where the greatest number of preventable injuries and deaths occur.
Medcor - Medcor provides clinical interventions and management services to improve health outcomes and reduce health-care costs. They assist with injury assessment, treatment recommendation, triage report information, post injury resources, along with follow up calls to ensure the best care is taken for TMD employees. Medcor has been operating worksite clinics since 1984, serving clients across a broad spectrum of industries. They have cared for more than three million people in their worksites clinics and handled nearly a million injury triage calls. Medcor has grown by meeting customer expectations rather than through acquisitions and mergers. They have seasoned staff in place who are building their careers. They have developed training systems to transfer the knowledge between their staff and clinics so all of the clients benefit from the aggregate experience. New clients get the benefit of their experience, while established customers benefit from new service innovations.
WRC “Work”
Certified – To be awarded Workers Compensation Risk
Certification (WRC), a company must undergo a thorough review
of their operational practices as they apply to hiring, client
safety evaluations and partnerships, screening, substance
abuse, talent matching, employee orientation, incident investigations
and corrective measures, and return-to-work programs. The
review is then measured against a series of best practices
developed by an advisory council of insurance carriers, insurance
brokers, and staffing industry risk managers. Risk Control
Services (RCS), the nation’s 5th largest independent risk
management consulting firm, conducts ongoing audits of the
operations of each WRC Certified company. Annual audits are
required in order to maintain certification. TMD Temporaries
is proud to be WRC “Work” Certified, which is recognized by
the ASA.

Branch
Personnel Training - Our Risk Management program includes
extensive training for OSHA certification of our branch personnel,
as well as a mandatory safety orientation to maintain a healthy,
risk-free environment for our temporaries and customers. TMD,
together with RCS, equips our branch personnel with safety
programs and training webinars for new hires, allowing us
to lessen the chance of injury by offering our clients well-screened
and highly trained temporaries. TMD has fully implemented
a new Interactive Orientation on Loss Prevention and Loss
Control where every employee completes this training process
within the first 6 months of employment.
Worksite
Evaluation Preparation and Usage - Our sales personnel,
along with our Risk Manager, provide in depth, on-site Safety
Reviews and Safety Programs tailored to our clients. Our Risk
Manager and branch personnel make decisions that maintain
a safe working environment.
Injury
Investigation – TMD and our third party administrator
strive to ensure safety in the workplace for all of our employees.
In the unfortunate event of an injury, we provide an on-site
investigation, which includes recording of statements, indexing
and administering of post-accident drug testing. Our medical
providers are carefully screened and we offer 100% rehabilitation
employment.
Background
Checks/Drug Testing - TMD will also perform background
checks upon request, based on client need. TMD has a strict
policy of mandatory drug screenings for all injured workers.
We also perform random drug testing or will tailor a testing
program to suit our customers’ needs, in order to provide
our clients with the best personnel.
